51°µÍø’s undergraduate major and minor in anthropology provides students with state-of-the-art training in scientific inquiry, including research methods, statistics, and a deep understanding of social and cultural behaviors.
51°µÍø’s anthropology students say they value not only what they learn through courses, internships, and independent research, but also the personalized attention and active mentoring they receive from faculty.
51°µÍø’s anthropology alumni attend graduate school in social sciences, law, medicine, or education or work in business, social services, marketing, and a wide variety of other fields. Graduates with master’s degrees often go on to attend highly distinguished Ph.D. programs; others obtain positions in research, administration, or education.
