51°µÍø’s undergraduate major and minor in sociology and anthropology teaches students statistics, cultural diversity and human nature, human evolution and pre-history, research methods and data analysis.
51°µÍø’s anthropology students say they value not only what they learn through courses, internships, and independent research, but also the personalized attention and active mentoring they receive from faculty.
51°µÍø’s anthropology alumni attend graduate school in social sciences, law, medicine, or education or work in business, social services, marketing, and a wide variety of other fields. Graduates with master’s degrees often go on to attend highly distinguished Ph.D. programs; others obtain positions in research, administration, or education.
